GSelector Version 3.15.1 released
RCS today announced the release of GSelector 3.15.1, increasing the tools already found in this world class music scheduler. Enhancements include architecture responsiveness, third party tool upgrades and reporting updates.
Architecture:
GSelector now uses Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) in place of web services. This fundamental change to the architecture has made GSelector much faster and more responsive. This new platform will also allow us to keep pace with emerging technologies to further improve GSelector in subsequent releases.
Third Party Tools:
Another major change involves the upgrading of our third party tools including the grid control, which hosts the various „lists” in GSelector such as the browse and the Editor; the graphing tool, which we use to draw the Research charts and Clock images, and the engine for Reports.
Reporting Updates:
We have optimized performance of the Reports tab, particularly the initialization time, and we have removed the restriction of jumping between the Columns, Groups and Editor tabs. Changes made in any of these tabs are now automatically updated in the others.
